I am running strategies on both Pinnacle and Betfair Exchange using automated betting software – Smartbet for Pinnacle and Bf Bot Manager for Betfair Exchange.
The picks come form the Betaminic database where I backtested football betting ideas.
Someone asked me if I noticed any price differences.
From a very quick review of bets over the last 2 days it looks 50-50.
I had expected Betfair Exchange odds to be better, but they seem very similar.
BUT, my Pinnacle bets are about 36-48 hours before KO and my Betfair Exchange bet odds are taken from the closing odds as captured by TippingSports (for the sake of independent 3rd party verification.)
Some odds are better on Betfair, some better on Pinnacle. The green highlighted cells show where Betfair Exchange odds were higher (even with 2% commission removed). The red highlighted cells show where Pinnacle (PS3838) odds were higher.
One thing I have noticed is that some bets get accepted only on Smartbet/Pinnacle and others only get accepted on Bf Bot Manager/Betfair Exchange.
This might be due to my bot settings, or team name differences or the market not being available on that site.
I had 14 bets that only got placed on Smartbet / Pinnacle, and 9 bets that only got placed on Bf Bot Manager / Betfair.
