Q1: How can I import tips into BFBM?

Tips can be imported in several ways:

Each method has its own good and bad points.

1. The tip provider manually adds them to a TippingSports account which sends them to his followers.

(Easiest for the users. And gives the tip provider a chance to expand his business by having a way to easily share his tips in a controlled manner, automate it for users and also have 3rd party verified tips on TippingSports.com)

2. The user manually adds them to a TippingSports account which sends them to his BFBM. (If you are doing this betting system with a friend or group, then you can take turns on whose day it is to input tips.)

3. The user manually selects the tips in their BFBM Markets Screen and sends them to the Manage Tips form as tips.

4. The user converts the tips to a CSV format that can be imported into the BFBM software.

(Methods 2-4 depend on which way is easiest for them based on the format they get their tips and how comfortable they are with the BFBM software.)

Q2 If I was to copy your whole set up of automation at £10/point what’s your average profit per month approx?

If you used the 7 systems I follow now, and applied a 5k bank to each, making 5k x 7 systems = 35k conservative nominal bank, then if the results I have had repeat themselves you could aim for a 5% increase on the bank each month on average over a 12 month period. (5% of 35k = 1.75k per month) I use the 5k number because Slipstream has a minimum bank entry level of 5k. That would be using Whitaker staking on BFBM bots with Betfair Exchange. If you use a 5k working bank with refills when a losing month comes, then it would be aiming for a 35% monthly increase on the 5k bank.

I am basing that on my historical results, not backtested results. But betting trends never repeat themselves exactly. You can just hope that they help each other out to achieve similar numbers.

Q3 How can I edit bots on a VPS?

If you try to edit them yourself, I usually recommend people “Export all strategies” in case they make a mistake and want to re-import their pre-edit set.

Also, if the VPS connection feels slow and difficult to edit, I often copy the backup file to my home PC, import it into my home PC BFBM, make the edits there, and then export the edited bots back to the VPS and import/overwrite them into the VPS. That helps me avoid making unintended changes to my real mode VPS, too.

Q4 Do you have any bot that can consistently deliver 10%+ profit per month?

Nothing makes 10% per month. But they might make an average of 10% per month over a 12 month period.

I list my results in my newsletter. All the data of my results from the best strategies I use are there.

The HedgerPro x8 strategy set has made +20% on average per month over the last 10 months.

GK Goals suggest 14% per month.

I like my own BSG Draw system with +10 over 8 months,

The Betaminic lay set has been doing amazing with +19% from 2 months.

Slipstream Unders seems consistent with 9 of 9 months in profit, despite its progressive style recovery.

Other strategies making above 10% don’t have that much real bet history from me yet, so I cannot say they are consistent.

My strategy choices are made based on all my experience and knowledge.

Most people who try them give up after 1-2 losing months. It takes a real long term mentality to get profit out of them.

Q5 Do I really need 1,000 matches of data? That takes a long time.

Regarding the idea that bots need to be tested over 1,000 matches — that’s a huge number.

Considering that I currently select matches manually, only leagues that appeal to me, collecting 1,000 matches would take a full year, not less

Yes, for low volume systems and manual systems it takes a long time to proof them. That is why I prefer putting time and effort into backtested systems or high volume live tested systems. Even if a strategy seems like a good system, if we cannot get enough data to trust it, then is it worth putting time and effort into? When you have the choice, be careful of putting too much time and effort into low volume betting systems. It will take a lot of time until enough data to justify higher stakes is gathered.

Q6 Is there any solid, ready-made system or software that allows proper back-testing?

Yes. Betaminic. It is a football tool I have used since 2017. I wrote two books about it. I base many of my systems around it.

Q7 Does Slipstream actually run in profit with recovery staking plans?

I am helping build Slipstream bots, so I get to run them in simulation mode and in real mode on small stakes.

All 17 of their systems run together do actually make profit even with some of them hitting their reset max bet staking levels.

I am not a fan of recovery staking plans, but they seem to make it work. But sometimes, one of the systems will lose its bank, which is why each system needs its own bank. They are trying to find that balance of having a big enough bank to “out bet” the markets with recovery bets and to have a selection method that can reduce the bank destroying runs that are statistically expected to come. They do have a number of clients who strongly believe in them. I know because they contact me separately with other bot requests after having used Slipstream systems for a long time. As ever, gambling is never safe. It is playing with fire. But a lot of us like that challenge to “beat” the sportsbooks, to beat the market and to what so many people say is not possible. Because if we do find something that works, we are set for the rest of our lives…

Q9 I have €10,000 to invest

Could you recommend something safe, in your opinion? Maybe following a certain bot community? I know you have many publications, but if we had to choose something truly conservative — for my mum, for example

If I had 10,000 to invest over 5 years. I would put it into an SP500 index fund and aim for 50-75% increase over 5 years (Average 6-9% per year). I know because I did that myself. I worked multiple jobs working 8-14 hour days 6-days a week for a 15 year period from age 25-40 and packed everything I could into shares. That is the safest thing to do if you want to become financially stable.

Gambling is never safe.

If you were considering risking 10,000 on betting, then first try to turn 1,000 into 2,000 with automated bots to prove the method. Even if the costs of the systems are not covered, view it as necessary research costs. If you are able to double your bank with 1,000 and are confident in your setup, then increase the bank at that point. If you lose the first 1,000, then you have another 1,000 to try another method in round 2. Eventually you will find a winning method, or lose 10,000 trying 10 systems. Even if you win or lose, you should have enough knowledge and experience from that to make better decisions in the future. After many failures, I am satisfied if I can find a bot with even 1% ROI. If I can find 10 bots like that, it becomes a meaningful system.

The systems I recommend on my site are those systems that I have found. They are not perfect, but over a 12-month period, many of them do work.

I recommend taking a 1k bank and splitting it among these 5 systems: 20% of the bank allotted to each system.

1k bank = 200 GBP bank for each system (If you want to do things properly and not only test the systems, but test your setup works and test if you yourself have the ability to follow the plan and not fiddle with things.)

5k bank = 1k bank per system (If you want to skip the self-testing and research stage)

10k bank = 2k bank per system (If you want to use all your available funds.)

As I said, most people fail at this because:

They increase stakes on winning systems and reduce stakes on losing systems after just a few weeks.

They react to short term results and miss out on the long term trend.

You need to make a 12-month plan with a fixed entry and exit points, and stick to that plan. Most people can’t.

The exit point should be when you reach your target, e.g double the bank

or when the allotted funds are gone. e.g. 100% of the allotted bank is gone.

Strategies can be added or removed based on long term data turning negative or suggesting a change in the trend. But it should always be based on the long term data (1.000+ bets), not short term results.

When I choose which systems to follow, I look at the average monthly profit, how long it has been running, its monthly highs and lows.

And of course, please remember that past results do not guarantee future results. But they give us a better starting point to plan our betting systems.

5 My Betting Diary Results since June 2023

I have been thinking about bank size and bank management again.

After reflection, I am going to use a “working bank” number instead of a “nominal bank” number in my results table.

I have changed my results table to a maximum “working” bank value of 5k.

I have four reasons: reality, warning, practicality and safety.

First, reality, I don’t keep 20k in my Betfair account. I tend to have about 5k at the start of the month, and I will withdraw winnings at the end of a month or deposit more to top up the account back to 5k in a losing month. If the bank drops to 2k in the middle of a month, I might top it up to 5k there to make sure it has enough funds to place most bets.

Second, warning. I feel that previously there were months where I used a nominal bank of 6k or 9k or 20k to illustrate correct bank management amounts for the system combination, and then losses on a 20k bank like the -7k loss in December 2025 appeared as a -30% loss and do not properly reflect the dangers of betting. No matter how well we plan, there is always the chance of bankruptcy. By using bank of 5k, then the December -7k loss now appears as -141% loss on a 5k bank. Anyone looking back through my results will see that loss and realise there is a chance of losing your entire bank.

Third, practicality. There is no unbreakable, safe bank in betting. There is always a chance of losing everything. Even if safer bank management tells us that we should have separate 5k banks for each system, which equates to a 40k bank for 8 systems and a 125k bank if we followed 25 systems, (e.g. all my main systems plus the 17 Slipstream strategies) I would guess that NONE of us actually have or would be comfortable with 125k in our Betfair account. And, in fact, leaving 125k in your Betfair account would be an inefficient use of your money. Once we get to those kinds of large amounts, it would be better to invest them in the S&P 500 index fund. It is much more practical to use a “working bank” and top it up when there are losing runs, and make withdrawals when there are winning months. This does mean that there will be months when your working bank is wiped out 100% and needs refilling. The rest of your money remains elsewhere. But I would still call this a form of smart gambling with a capital efficient betting bank. For this reason, a 5k working bank % profit/loss will have a more meaningful feeling of the dangers of betting than the % profit/loss of a larger nominal bank. It is then much easier to see how many times in the last 3 years the bank was bankrupted or severely hit.

2023 -35% in August was the worst month

2024 -84% in June was the worst month. The working bank would have needed a refill.

2025 -141% in December and -56% in February were the worst months. The working bank needed refills.

The current overall profit and loss figure includes those refills since the bank came back from hose negative points to the current profit it has now. So practically, we are working with a 5k bank shared between all the systems that WILL need to be refilled in losing months, but can have profits over the 5k working bank level withdrawn each month.

So how much real bank do you need? Looking back at my 3 years of results, a 10k nominal bank would have survived with no refills or bankruptcy. So as a rule of thumb, the nominal bank can be the working bank x2.

Fourth, safety. It is financially risky to leave too much money in any betting site account. Online betting sites can freeze your funds or close your account at any time for a variety of reasons. It could be because you deposited too much, too often recently or from a new method and it flagged your account for KYC / Proof Of Income check again, and then they don’t accept your documents. It could be because the system flagged your account as matching a pattern of collusion where a set of unrelated accounts are all accessed from the same IP address. Or they suspect your account is being used for money laundering by two accounts “mirroring” both sides of a bet to facilitate money transfers.

So, in conclusion:

Nominal bank 10k

Working bank 5k.

Look at the scary numbers like -140% in one month.

Only gamble with money you consider already lost the moment you deposit it.

Gambling is an expensive hobby like playing golf, skiing or owning a boat. Choose a monthly budget and stick to it. Or find a cheaper hobby.

6 Tom’s BSG Draw System Results Average +10% per month (7 of 8 months in profit)

The BSG Draw System broke a new record with a +44% increase on the bank. Monthly profits now range from -20% to +44% in the last 8 months.

The BSG bots have made profit in 7 of the last 8 months. That is nice to see, too.

The thing I really love about Betaminic is actually the research process. It is fun for me to look at all the data, the snapshots I make myself and the online database with its charts and monthly results, and then to make my own strategies with its filters and historical odds going back to 2012. I have used it for a while now and I really feel like I have mastered the tool and know it inside out. I hate just following other people’s tips blindly. I much prefer to see all the filters and data behind what I put my money on. It is a very different kind of betting experience.

For manual bettors I recommend laying to a fixed liability of 50 or 100 GBP.

Imagine a bank of 100 points, so 50 GBP x 100 points = 5,000 GBP bank

or 100 GBP x 100 points = 10,000 GBP bank

If you have a smaller bank of 2,000 GBP, then start with 20 GBP fixed liabilities and increase stakes as you pass the 3k, 4k levels.

Value Betting Strategies

10 Slipstream Unders +5% per month average (9 of 9 months in profit)

This month I was only running Slipstream Unders.

Slipstream Unders

The Unders bot set worked as intended and made a +£157 / +3.14 points increase on its 5k bank.

(Profit share depends on your overall profit/loss with Slipstream bots.)

Since I am building the bot sets with Roy, I also have the other bots running on low stakes.

The following bots are running on 100 GBP banks, so the P/L is a % increase on the starting bank.

I rank them by monthly average profit in points based on a 5k bank.

Unders is still my favorite since it has 9 out of 9 months in profit. +5.09% increase on average per month is very good for such a consistent strategy. Its settings have not been significantly changed since May 2025 when I first made these bots for Roy.

It is so consistent, I am going to double my stakes on this one to a 10k bank.

Rippled and HTdraw also have good monthly averages, but I will wait a little longer before restarting them to see if the new bot settings perform as intended. Rippled’s bot was last updated on January 20^th. HTDraw’s bot was last updated on January 30^th.

Unders2 has been highlighted by Roy as having the potential to be as good as Unders. I am keeping an eye on that one, too.

You can choose which Slipstream strategy you want to follow.

I would recommend or Unders (most consistent / least volatile / lots of liquidity) at the moment.

It has 9 out of 9 months of profit with the automated bots.

The individual £100 bank bots made a -14 point loss in this time again. That might mean there were some overlaps in the bets that the main mixed bot only bet once on or my bank ran out of stakes to place bets with at certain times.

The greyhound markets are not that big and it is not certain how much you can get matched on these and how scalable this is.

If you bet too large, like 100 GBP, you will get noticed quickly by the sportsbook and limited.

If you bet small and place “normal” bets on other markets like football to mask your greyhound value bets, then you may be able to make more over the longer term.

While some other people have already been limited by Betfair Sportsbook, my account is still alive with small 1 GBP bets.

I think it can support stakes up to 10 GBP. I placed 10 GBP bets for a while and then reduced to 1 GBP again after a few days because I don’t want my Betfair Sportsbook account restricted.

When I get another UK sportsbook I will try larger stakes like 5-10 GBP again.

One thing that is certain though is that this is an automated version of a value bet service like Shooting Bets. It absolutely works. The only question is just how long you can run the bot before the sportsbook limits you. If you are in the UK, you can open accounts with the 21 sportsbooks on the BetHoundPro compatible list and try to get as much as you can from them. You can run all 21 sportsbook at the same time on the same 1-month BetHound subscription, so it should cover costs easily. But the sportsbook account opening needs work on your side.

What is BetHoundPro?

BetHound has built their own odds calculating model for Greyhound races.

When the bookmaker odds are higher than their model’s odds, their betting software places a bet for you at the bookmakers you have connected to the software.

BetHoundPro is the software that runs on your PC or VPS to place the bets for you on your betting accounts.

It has been run and proven over with 30,000 bets with about 7% ROI.

BetHoundPro can make use of your limited accounts by betting the maximum possible for your limited accounts, even it is 10p or so. As long as the account is not restricted to zero stakes, their software is cleverly designed so that if your selected stake cannot be placed, it will automatically place the maximum stake it can below this, allowing you to squeeze every tiny bit of value for those otherwise useless accounts.

How does it work?

You need the software installed and running on your PC or VPS.

It bets on UK & Ireland Greyhounds. It only needs to be switched on for those time periods.

After you join, the setup instructions are sent to you.

Note: I usually only post systems I have run myself, but in this case I only have a UK Betfair Sportsbook account to try with the bot and no other UK bookie accounts. But I wanted to share this interesting non-Betfair Exchange automated system since there are many UK residents who have deposit limits on Betfair accounts or want to spread risk by trying other automated systems. This could be one of those. One of the interesting things about this service is that the setup guide gives lots of focus and advice on how to keep your accounts alive for as long as possible before they get limited by the bookies. They obviously know that they customers win by betting on value dogs and this gets flagged by the bookies and accounts get limited. This seems like another service, like ShootingBets, that can get your accounts limited since you they will know you are not going to be a profitable customer for them. So only use accounts that you don’t mind being eventually limited on.

I am really impressed with how they have got this working for so many bookmakers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: BetHoundPro are always testing to help customers who live abroad, but at this present time the only bookmakers that would work are the ones with the same layout as the UK bookmakers. They are constantly striving to improve the system, and it is something they are currently working on.

19 Key Advice

Use Whitaker Staking when possible. (NLC ELS Multiplier x5 /Bet Number 1k)
You can use a shared bank for strategies betting on different selections that use Whitaker Staking. (But all betting includes a chance of bankruptcy.)
Use separate banks or split banks for strategies betting on the same selections that use Whitaker Staking. (Or only bet once on a selection.)
Use separate banks for strategies using Progressive or Recovery staking.
Always have small 100 GBP bank tracker bots running at the same time for all your strategies in case you change/edit your larger stake bots. This will give you the most important data to refer to and judge strategies in the long term.
Research strategies carefully but then stick with your chosen backtested strategies until each strategy hits 1,000 bets. Anything less than that is not giving the backtested strategies a chance to repeat their trend.
Make a plan and stick to it. Plan your edit/exit points. Plan when to withdraw profit and pay costs. Plan when to stop a system. Plan when and how you will increase stakes. Plan your review points.
Don’t change stakes mid-plan. Don’t increase stakes after a winning run. Don’t decrease stakes after a losing run.
If you change stakes, make a new bot. Don’t mix the data.
Don’t stop/start bots after losing/winning runs. Let them run constantly with your designated staking plan.
For Betaminic strategies, use strategies that have 500+ bets in their base strategy Since Shared or Since Created period that prove their filters found a working trend.
For Betaminic strategies, track them individually. Don’t treat them as a group. Just because one strategy does not work does not mean they all don’t work.
For BFBM autobots, run test bots with 100 Whitaker banks until they clear 500 markets. Don’t increase stakes too quickly. Increase stakes on the bots with good results. If you have multiple bots betting on the same selection, choose the bot with the best results, or divide the bank among several bots betting on the same selection in a market.
