Highlights

Successful Method Found

It was a sixth straight month of profit in a row, and it was a solid +£2,728 (+18%) increase on the 15k betting bank which was really great to see.

The target of 2k per month was overachieved, making up for a flat month last month.

I feel very confident about the methods I am using to research, test, monitor and increase stakes on the strategies.

The last six months of combined results look like a dream.

Key Advice

  1. Use Whitaker Staking when possible. (NLC ELS Multiplier x5 /Bet Number 1k)
  2. You can use a shared bank for strategies betting on different selections that use Whitaker Staking.
  3. Use separate banks or split banks for strategies betting on the same selections that use Whitaker Staking. (Or only bet once on a selection.)
  4. Use separate banks for strategies using Progressive or Recovery staking.
  5. Always have small 100 GBP bank tracker bots running at the same time for all you strategies in case you change/edit your larger stake bots. This will give you the most important data to refer to and judge strategies in the long term.
  6. Research strategies carefully, but then stick with your chosen backtested strategies until EACH strategy hits 1,000 bets. Anything less than that is not giving the backtested strategies a chance to repeat their trend.
  7. Make a plan and stick to it. Plan your edit/exit points. Plan when to withdraw profit and pay costs. Plan when to stop a system. Plan when and how you will increase stakes. Plan your review points.
  8. Don’t change stakes mid-plan. Don’t increase stakes after a winning run. Don’t decrease stakes after a losing run.
  9. If you change stakes, make a new bot. Don’t mix the data.
  • Don’t stop/start bots after losing/winning runs. Let them run constantly with your designated staking plan.
  • For Betaminic strategies, use strategies that have 500+ bets in their base strategy Since Shared or Since Created period that prove their filters found a working trend.
  • For Betaminic strategies, track them individually. Don’t treat them as a group. Just because one strategy does not work does not mean they all don’t work.
  • For BFBM autobots, run test bots with 100 Whitaker banks until they clear 500 markets. Don’t increase stakes too quickly. Increase stakes on the bots with good results. If you have multiple bots betting on the same selection, choose the bot with the best results, or divide the bank among several bots betting on the same selection in a market.

 

New Betaminic Set Added

I have added a NEW set of 10 Betaminic back strategies to my set. These are based on those public strategies with over 500 bets worth of Since Shared data and topping the public strategies Since Shared profits chart. These will run alongside my existing MDDE16 set. It is not replacing that set.

 

VPS Cancelled

I have cancelled my VPS subscription and gone back to running a PC 24/7 from home with a wired connection to my internet router.

 

Betaminic

The Betaminic back strategies had a slight losing month of 4.2 points but they do seem to have win one month, lose the next kind of pattern. The Betaminic strategies tend to be like that, with long periods of flat or slight decline and then short periods of big profits. So you have to pick your strategies and stay in long term for the full year to have the best chance of seeing the historical trends repeat. I have added another set of 10 strategies researched with the Betaminic football database.

My private Betaminic lay strategies (created by another user, shared with me.) had an amazing month of +49 points. With The Staking Machine (TSM) now supporting Whitaker Lay Staking analysis, I need to look closer at lay betting based on Betaminic pick trigger strategies. I’m sorry that I cannot share these with you, but I can give you a big hint to go and test out lay strategies researched in the Betamin Builder yourselves.

 

Whitaker Lay Staking

TSM now has Whitaker staking and a quick analysis shows Whitaker Lay Staking using ELSx5 with 1k Bet Number is a safe standard level for lay betting bots.

 

Slipstream

The Slipstream Investors betting syndicate strategies again stood out with their consistent profits for the 5th month in a row despite one of the three strategies having its first losing month. Two of the three strategies made it another winning month overall for them. After seeing a losing month first hand that saw HTDraw use up £3,712 of its €5k bank while the others were still just using less than £600 between them, I have revised my bank management to run the three strategies with a shared 10k bank. Roy recommends having 5k per strategy, but I think it can be run on a 10k working bank, and that would be my exit point. If the three strategies lose -10k, then I won’t let them run on to -15k. For this reason, I am calculating with a 10k shared bank for these 3 strategies.

 

Connect BFBM to Telegram

This new article and video show how to connect individual bots to Telegram so that you can get alerts form important bots when they place bets or settle markets.

My BFBM Autobot

The FT Draw bot from the BSG Draw System had another winning month, this time a much more conniving result than last month with +13.46 points on the bank. That is 5 out of 5 months finishing in profit with Whitaker Staking.

 

HedgerPro

The HedgerPro strategies example strategies had a stunning winning month of +14.6 points. As more BFBM data builds up for the test bots, I can get more confidence in the HedgerPro strategies I have chosen.

 

IPT Data Feed

I noticed that the free inplay data feed that comes with BFBM was missing a lot of the inplay data from the international games around the world recently, especially the African qualifiers, but InPlayTrading’s data feed did have those inplay scores. This led to my BSG draw bots getting into more matches than some other people without the IPT livescore data feed did. If you only bet on big ldomestic leagues like the Premier league and La Liga, then you probably don’t need the IPT feed, but if you want to bet on as many Betfair Exchange matches as possible with livescore data, then it might be worth considering getting that data feed to add to your BFBM setup.

These 3 systems are my top ones in terms of confidence.

I’ve worked on the Betaminic strategies since 2017. I know them inside out.

I’ve worked on the BSG draw bot since 2022 and believe in the underlying trend.

Slipstream is relatively new, but I like the consistency since I started 5 months ago.

These are the systems that form the core of my betting system.

I have allotted different banks to them. That works out to a target of +1.7k per month or +11% on the allotted bank.

I think that is a good plan to go with for the next few months.

The monthly results have been swaying from profit to loss, and the last month saw the turn of a losing month. But don’t be fooled into thinking you can bet one month on, one month off, because you will miss a big winning month doing that. Trust me, I have made that mistake in the past. The key to making Betaminic strategies work is following them long term.

 

The average of +5.89 points per month is decent.

You can see that the level stakes aggregator shows a drawdown of -75.

But with Whitaker staking, you don’t need to worry about the drawdown. The staking plan will adjust stakes based on odds inferred risk. It bets more on low odds and less on high odds. Betting less on high odds reduces those drawdowns.

I ignore the drawdown numbers now (Except if a single strategy is over -100 by itself. That IS a bad sign.)

The aim of this set is to:

Focus on Since Shared profit.

Focus on strategies with over 500 bets of Since Shared data supporting them.

Data Driven Profit. I hope.

 

There are some familiar names in there and some new names in there. So please do take a look at the strategies you are not following and consider adding them to your set.

 

Exit points?

Run each strategy until it reaches 1000 bets and is not in profit OR until it hits -5k on its bank.

Stake increases? None planned for 12 months.

Profit taking? Everything above the initial 5k can be withdraw monthly as profit.

 

Strategy Set Trackers

For Betaminic strategies, it is important to treat each strategy separately. Just because a group of strategies is making a loss, does not mean that the backtesting method does not work, it just means that the aggregate results are negative.

 

Below I show some long term 1 Level Stakes and 100 Bank Whitaker Staking bots that have data since March 24th 2025.

These are not MDDE strategies, but the original base strategies.

You can use this as a menu of possible Betaminic strategies to investigate further if you want.

With the Level Stakes and Whitaker Stakes lined up together, you can see how the staking plan affects results.

With the Whitaker staking results, that P/L number is = the % increase on the allotted bank, so +44 means a +44% increase on whatever sized bank was given to it. Any Whitaker staking loss bigger than -100 means the bank was bankrupted. None yet! And with Whitaker staking, the bank is used fully, so drops of -50% are perfectly natural and part of the staking plan normal function.

The Whitaker bots are 100 banks, so if you see +20 in profit like Contend UD, that means the bank increased by 20% since March 24th over 5 months.

Again, focus on bet numbers, not calendar months!

Here I would also strongly like to recommend people to view strategies in terms of bet numbers, not calendar months. With a strategy that has 9 bets per month, 15 months was just 135 bets, which is not enough to judge if a strategy has stopped working or not. It is so few bets that any profit or loss in this period is almost random whether it will be up or down. With big data betting, we are saying that over a period of 500-1000 bets we hope to see the trend express itself again. 100 bets is just too few to judge anything. So we should not look at how many months of profit or loss a strategy has, but how many bets it has made. It would be better to look at 100 bet chunks instead of months and judge a strategy over its last 1,000 bets instead of its last calendar year.

 

Follow Multiple Strategies to Spread Risk

But how do we cover subscription costs with a strategy that has long flat periods? The answer is that we need to follow multiple strategies in a mixed portfolio set so that they help each other out when some have long flat or negative periods. If we believe the core trend behind it, then we should follow it long term and give ourselves a chance to catch that trend repeating.

3 Slipstream Investors Syndicate

+£559 on 10k bank is +5.6 points

Ave. +7.43% per month

The Slipstream Investors betting syndicate strategies again stood out with their consistent profits for the 5th month in a row despite one of the three strategies having its first losing month. Two of the three strategies made it another winning month overall for them. After seeing a losing month first hand that saw HTDraw needing to make use of £2,377 of its €5k bank (which was a £1,460 realised loss leading into a pending investment of £917) while the others were still just using less than £600 between them, I have revised my bank management to run the three strategies with a shared 10k bank. Roy recommends having 5k per strategy, but I think it can be run on a 10k working bank, and that would be my exit point. If the three strategies lose -10k, then I won’t let them run on to -15k. For this reason, I am calculating with a 10k shared bank for these 3 strategies.

The bots themselves made 1,117 GBP profit, but 50% of that goes in profit share, so the end result is +559 GBP.

Rippled          +£1,261 (Roy says this one has had no losing months in 7 years.)

Unders          +£118

HTDraw         -£379

Total              +£1.117 on 10k bank. 50% is paid to Slipstream as profit share.  £559 profit left is +5.6 points on a 10k bank.

You can see the total points increase for each strategy. Note that 50% of your total profit is shared each 28-day cycle.

4 Tom’s IPT InPlayTrading System Results

-£13.70 on a 500 bank is -2.7 points

These bots are my efforts to turn my manual in-play betting into autobots.

The bots with “BM” in the name use Betaminic strategies as market selectors. Then if the in-play filters are met, it will place bets.

The bots with “BFBM” in the name use BFBM rules as market selectors. Then if the in-play filters are met, it will place bets.

Group 06’s IPT/BFBM in-play bots denote if they are using the IPT in-play data feed or BFBM in-play data feed.

Very early days, and as I suspected, not many bets due to the strictness of my ideal in-play betting rules that I would often bend when betting manually. Let’s see if sticking to the rules will make profit.

 

These bots get few bets, so I am going to have to leave them a long time to get to 500 markets, or I will have to take a leap of faith and increase stakes myself.  But for the moment I will let them carry on with a 500 bank to gather data.

I will show the results of my various test bots here for people who are trying to make their own BFBM autobots, I think this is a good example of how, if you have a base trend with even a sliver of value (1% ROI), then by trying other bot settings and related markets, you may be able to find more value in them. The dates that the bots started are on the right.

 

Developing your own BFBM bots

Trying to develop your own BFBM autobots is a long term process that needs patience and data gathering.

When managing test bots and thinking about the next stage of moving test bots from test mode to main bank mode or even a new test set. I recommend keeping groups of test bots and main bank bots separate.

 

In practice that means learning how to:

  1. Export all bots as a “snapshot save” that we view as a recovery point if we ever want to roll back all the bots to this point, or if in the future we ever want to check back and see the bot data at this point in time.
  2. Duplicate a good bot.
  3. Edit its name and group name.
  4. Edit its stake.
  5. Note the start date in the description.
  6. Start the new bot.
  7. Save the new snapshot save.

 

BFBM Bot Snapshot Saves

I do this snapshot save weekly or monthly. This is so that if a bot I did not have my eye on suddenly does well, I can go back and track its progress to see its history in more detail. So I have monthly saves going back years now. This is also useful when you want to export a bot set to another BFBM instance just for editing or reviewing old sets. I have my Real Mode BFBM on a VPS, my Simulation Mode BFBM on an 2nd hand desktop PC and my Editing/Review BFBM on my work laptop. One BFBM licence can be used with one Betfair account on unlimited numbers of devices. Just one BFBM license is enough for your BFBM bot empire.

 

Keep Original Test Bots Running

Keep the original test bots running forever as they are on 1 GBP bets. Let them gather data for as long as you can, or until this betting system is deemed dead. It will be very useful to have the original 1 GBP level stakes bots running long term, and then keeping other test bots or main betting bots separate.

The data can get overwhelming, but basically we are waiting for 500-1000 markets worth of data before we start judging bots.

6 HedgerPro Results

The HedgerPro strategies example strategies had a stunning winning month of +14.6 points. As more BFBM data builds up for the test bots, I can get more confidence in the HedgerPro strategies I have chosen.

 

 

My chosen 8 HP strategies for July 15th to August 13th.

My method here has been to run all the free public strategies that come with my HedgerPro 12-month subscription on £1 stakes and £100 Whitaker Staking Banks. Then each month I use the strategies with the best long term results so far in my main betting set. I try to give higher priority to strategies with more bets worth of data to back up their results.

I am also tracking all the other available free strategies with 1 GBP level stakes or 100 GBP Whitaker Staking plans.

I then use the strategies that are in profit with Whitaker Staking and have over 100 bets of data.

My private Betaminic lay strategies (created by another user, shared with me.) had an amazing month of +49 points. With The Staking Machine (TSM) now supporting Whitaker Lay Staking analysis, I need to look closer at lay betting based on Betaminic pick trigger strategies. Whitaker Lay Staking Analysis

I managed to put 676 bets worth of data from this strategy through TSM to test Whitaker Lay staking.

My Whitaker Lay settings: ELSx5 / 1k Bet Number

Looking at the graph on the right, you can see again how there are long periods of flat and then short periods of upward jumps. This again shows the need to stay in long term with backtested, data driven strategies to give them a chance to show their long term trends.

 

Compared to other lay strategies, Whitaker improved on level stake lays, level liability lays and % laying. (The lay XYZ staking plan below was lay level stakes of 2 units.)

Using the TSM staking analysis software (just 3 GBP per month), I also ran the data through 2,000 Monte Carlo shuffles of the fixture list with different Whitaker Staking ELS multiples.

ELSx4.5 came up best, but I will stick with ELSx5 for safety since ELSx4 showed a 0.1% chance of bankruptcy and the set has shown plenty of volatility month to month so far on ELSx5.

What is clear is that Whitaker Staking smashes level liability staking which is the benchmark to beat, increasing profits form +26 units to +63 units.

This set, as most Betaminic sets do, varies with wining and losing months. The long term average is +16.85 points per month after 4 months. This bot is a mix of 6 lay strategies researched with Betaminic’s database. Leagues are filtered.

These are the individual strategy results of the strategies being run. Only the top 6 are now being used.

There is an amount of crossover wit the strategies, so this bot set tests what happens if we only bet on duplcaites where a selection is double selected by 2 or more strategies.

+17% after 2 weeks so far.
