Ryan stresses that these are just example strategies to be used as a starting point for seeing what the tool can do, and it is not certain how long their edge will hold up if too many people bet on the same selections. HedgerPro, like Betaminic, is meant to be used as a backtesting tool where you research and follow your own strategies. (But we all know we run the shared strategies on the side as long as they work, too!)

Q: Is it possible that any edge in the market will be eroded, the more people use the systems?
A: Hi, the simple answer is, if everyone is betting using the exchange and not BSP, with bets scheduled and going on at exactly the same time, then yes of course this will affect the market liquidity on Betfair. Depending on the bet type, ie low odds would be less affected than a high odds with less money in the market for that horse, this will decide how much an influx of bets all asking for the same bet would affect it. I provided the free example betting systems encouraging people to tweak and make their own changes to the filters, to make the systems their own, as the systems are great out the box, but it they are very much open for improving. I’ve had loads of emails already from members informing me they have increased profits by changing MTP or one of the other many filters, or lowered drawdown and reduced overall risk, this increasing ROI. I provided them open ended with scope to make subtle or major adjustments, and make them better. Which means if everyone is making the systems their own, two things occur, they are less likely to be affected by a large influx trying to be matched on the same bet, as their system will be different, and the members using the free example systems out the box, have less people using them with no changes applied. I think for each system I have made available there is about another 30% to 50% profit and performance increase possible. Which completely removes the everyone betting all at once on the same horse issue of liquidity. My other automated bets I limit membership for that reason, but they are set in stone filters.
1.2 Importing the free strategies into your HP account

Go to the “RESEARCH” tab in your HP account.

Click on “NEW”

Select “Import Sample Shortlists”, then click “ADD”.

Select a strategy from the drop down menu on the left.

Click “RESEARCH” to generate the backtested results for that strategy based on current data.

Explore the strategy settings by using the slider bar and looking down the left side column.

Use the “COPY” button to duplicate and start playing with the strategy settings yourself. Playing is learning!
2 How to connect HP to BFBM

Click “EXPORT”

In the export menu, select
System: All
Type: BFBM
Method: View
Filters: Static Only
Data: Betfair
And then click “EXPORT”

A browser window will open.
Copy the URL in the URL bar.

Paste the HP URL into the BFBM “Manage tips” form’s “Tips Autoloading” page.
Ryan asks us to set the refresh time to 1 hour in order to reduce stress on the HP site.
Make sure the “Active” checkbox is ticked.
3 How to run my HP bots
If you have an active paid HP subscription, email me and I will send you the bot set.

Select “Impot strategies”. (Not import private strategies.)

It will import the bots.
I edited the bots I received from Ryan to include Whitaker NLC staking versions of each bot.
I also edited the names and included the stakes
The level stakes bots place 1 GBP bets.
The Whitaker NLC bots use a 100 GBP bank.
The screenshots below are from March 16th to March 24th 2025. So just 8 days of results.

Start the bots!
No market autoloading is needed.
The markets will be autoloaded from the Mange Tips form.
A-Bots and B-Bots
Imported tips become “used up” when one bot bets on them.
If you want to have multiple bots betting on the same tips, then you need A-bots that bet on the imported tip, and B-bots that copy the A-bot bets.
In my set, the Level Stakes bots are the A-Bots, so the WNLC bots are the B-Bots and will not work unless the Level Stakes bots are also running.
If you only want to run the WNLC bots as A-bots, email me and request the “WNLC A-bot set for HP”. I don’t send them all at the beginning to avoid confusion.
Important note for making your own HP bots in BFBM.
HP strategies include Dynamic and Static filters.
Static filters are those that do not change. E.g. course name, recent form, jockey, trainer, distance, etc,
Dynamic filters are those that change e.g. odds, number of active runners, which horse is the favourite.
Only the STATIC filters are sent with the tips to BFBM, so the DYNAMIC filters must be programmed in each bot.

Hedger Pro does have its own cloud based automation feature, but it does not allow for as much control as BFBM does in terms of staking plans.
