This page explains the betting strategies and bots set that I am using from HedgerPro, a Horse Racing statistics database for back testing ideas.
What is HedgerPro?
HedgerPro is a horseracing statistics and historical odds database where you can research, create and follow strategies based on backtesting data back to 2021. You can also follow existing example strategies shared by HedgerPro.
Hedger Pro strategies can be automated in the Bf Bot Manager for Betfair Exchange or on their own cloud automation service.

What are the 9 Strategies I am using?
I started using HedgerPro in 2025.
When I signed up, I got 14 strategies. I set them up with trackers bots in Bf Bot Manager on 2025-3-16. I had £1 level stakes bots and Whitaker NLC £100 bank bots.
Three months later they gave me 15 updated strategies called “OH” for Overhaul. I set them up with trackers bots in Bf Bot Manager on 2025-6-14. I had £1 levels takes bots and Whitaker NLC £100 bank bots.

I tracked the bot results.
I made a top set of 6 (then 8 and now 9) strategies based on those bots that had:
A) A high number of markets completed. +500 markets
B) Both their level stakes and Whitaker stakes bots were in profit.
C) The Whitaker staking bot had a profit of +20% or higher.

For reference, of the 14 strategies I received first in March 2025:
7 of the 14 are in profit for level stakes and Whitaker NLC staking.
On level stakes, 1 of the 14 bots went over -100 units.
0 of the 7 losing bots went bankrupt with 100 unit Whitaker NLC bank allotted to them. This is an example of Whitaker Staking doing its job right.
Only 1 of the 7 losing bots has done worse than -40% of the Whitaker NLC Bank.
That is impressive.
But only 8 of the strategies have near 1,000 markets cleared. It is not fair to judge the strategies with 500 or less markets of data.

For the next 15 OH Overhaul strategies I received in June 2025:
7 of the 15 are in profit for level stakes and Whitaker NLC staking.
On level stakes, 2 of the 15 bots went over -100 units.
0 of the 8 losing bots went bankrupt with 100 unit Whitaker NLC bank allotted to them. This is an example of Whitaker Staking doing its job right.
Only 1 of the 8 losing bots has done worse than -43% of the Whitaker NLC Bank.
That is decent.
But only 9 of the strategies have near 1,000 markets cleared. It is not fair to judge the strategies with 500 or less markets of data.

Those are the original test bots that I base my decisions on.
So the method with any new betting system is
1. Run it on £1 level stakes and a Whitaker NLC £100 bank to track performance.
2. When some bots have over 500 markets of data, consider giving them a larger bank or a Whitaker LC % bank.
3. Don’t give up on bots before 1,000 markets. Keep tracking them.
4. Don’t give up on promoted bots. Let them run until the allotted Whitaker bank is gone or for 1,000 markets. Whichever comes first.

If you use my bot set, I recommend that you run ALL the bots in this set.
Run the 1 GBP level stakes and Whitaker NLC 100 GBP bank bots so you know what the long-term data is.
Run the Whitaker LC % bots as your main bank bots.
Based on previous data, we are aiming for an average of +20 points per month with Whitaker Staking.
We are basically saying “We hope that the 17-month pattern from March 2025 to September 2026 repeats itself.”
Past results do not guarantee future results, but they seem a much more sensible way of planning your next move.
And for 19 GBP a month, that sounds like a reasonable risk.
