Bot does not place bets on imported tips

So, you have connected your BFBM to your Betaminic or TippingSports imported tips.

The tips are appearing in your “Manage Tips” section, but the bots are not betting on them. Why not? Let’s find out.

In your BFBM software, you should be able to open the tabs of each bot to see their rules and if they have placed any bets.

Click on the bets tab to see if any bets are there.

If there are no bets, click on the “reports” tab to see why it is not placing bets.

Troubleshoot in Simulation Mode

In simulation mode, purely for troubleshooting purposes to find why bots are not placing bets, we can:
1. Identify a tip for a match that is due to play in the future.
2. Find the bot that you have setup to bet on this tip.
3. Delete its time to bet rule. (So it will now bet anytime on the tip.) (Note the time to bet setting so that you can re-add it later after troubleshooting is finished.)

4. Set your Market Monitoring time to 1 year. (This is so the software will check all markets for data.) (Note the original setting so that you can re-add it later after troubleshooting is finished.)

5. In the reports tab of the bot wee are troubleshooting, right click on any column header. Left-click the option “Show  auto-filter row”.

6. Enter part of the name of the market that you the tip is meant to bet on into the auto-filter cell. It will now only show reports about that market.

7. Start the bot and watch the reports tab to see why the bot is not betting on this tip.

8. For troubleshooting purposes, find that rule and edit it to make it looser, or delete it for now to see if other rules are a problem, too.  (Note the original setting so that you can re-add it later after troubleshooting is finished.)

9. Keep identifying problem rules, editing or deleting them until the bot places a bet. (It takes a while for the software to cycle through all the markets, so we have to wait sometimes for it to process all the data.) Once the bot places a bet, then you know which rules were preventing it betting. You can then re-add those rules with looser settings so that the bot will place bets for real as you want. After troubleshooting is finished, don’t forget to change your Market Monitoring time back to the default 30m or your previous setting.

10. The most common problems are
Time to Bet – The bot is waiting until its specified time to bet, so this is not really a problem.
Overrounds – You might want to loosen your overrounds rule.
Back/Lay Ratio Rule – You might want to loosen your back/lay ratio rule.
